Leveraging Social Computing and Agility

The “The Birds of a Feather (BOF)” project was established with the aim of identifying the business value inherent in social computing.  Since it’s inception, the effort has evolved into an institute for “Leveraging Social Computing and Agility.” With this transition, the group has tasked itself with facilitating an open academic, industry, government, and public platform for discussing technical, behavioral, strategic, commercial and social issues raised by the exploitation of social computing technologies.

To date we have published the first volume in a series white papers which successfully reveals new business opportunities and exposes the value latent in social computing applications [download…][comments…]. Currently, we are simultaneously drafting Volumes Two and Three in the series. Volume Two will attempt to illustrate the core-tenets of Agility 2.0 and provide guidelines for their implementation in a corporate environment [download outline…]. In turn, Volume Three will review and explore the technologies and tools required to support a move towards Agility 2.0 [download outline…].

In an attempt to more aptly facilitate this process, we are creating a cyber resource intended to be a hub for individuals interested in this subject, which we hope to have operational by the end of this summer. Please join us and allow us to keep you posted on our progress. We also welcome your thoughts and contributions about its features and capabilities.
